Customer Creation - When I try to create a customer the system tells me the Customer exists

Customer numbers are unique (within each dealer account) in the system. So, if you try to create a customer with a specific Customer ID and the system won't allow you that means: that Customer (or some Customer with that exact Customer ID) already exists.


Generally, this means that the customer information has been added to the system by your associated dealer, but you have not been granted access to that customer. When you run into this situation email support@dentacad.com and we will acquire permission to add access to this customer (and usually other customers in the same group) for you.


If you need to create the customer immediately and cannot wait for the above process you can create the customer with some other number for the customer id, such as their phone number. This will allow you to build/save the order and generate forms for the potential customer.


If your dealer requires a matching customer id for any order submitted for processing, you will need to get this situation resolved before committing and submitting the order.
